Course overview

ADR role-specific training for personnel involved in the road transport of dangerous goods

This training is designed for company personnel involved in the transport of dangerous goods, as well as for individuals seeking employment in companies engaged in dangerous goods transport or related operations.

The training is fully compliant with Sections 1.3, 1.10.2 and 8.2.3 of the ADR Agreement.

Under ADR regulations, employers are required to ensure that all personnel receive appropriate training before undertaking duties related to dangerous goods.

 

General and role-specific training is intended for:

  • drivers other than those holding an ADR driver training certificate,
  • industrial vehicle (forklift) operators,
  • warehouse personnel,
  • warehouse managers,
  • freight forwarders,
  • other personnel involved in the handling of dangerous goods.

Security training for high consequence dangerous goods is intended for:

  • drivers transporting high consequence dangerous goods (HCDG),
  • personnel involved in operations related to high consequence dangerous goods,
  • freight forwarders,
  • other staff involved in handling high-risk dangerous goods.

Training frequency

Training should be regularly supplemented with refresher courses, taking into account regulatory updates.

Documentation

A certificate is issued upon completion of the training. Employers are required to retain this document and make it available to the employee or competent authority upon request. The certificate should also be verified when commencing new employment.
