IATA DGR training covers the safe transport of dangerous goods by air. Any employee involved in the air transport of dangerous goods is required to complete appropriate training, tailored to their specific duties and responsibilities. The objective of the training is to enable companies to engage their personnel in operations related to the air transport of dangerous goods in full compliance with applicable regulations.
This training is mandatory under international regulations – the ICAO Technical Instructions and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, as well as national legislation (Act of 5 August 2022 on the transport of dangerous goods by air).
Employees who have not completed the required training must not be involved in activities related to the air transport of dangerous goods. Companies intending to ship materials, substances or articles classified as dangerous goods are required to ensure that their staff are properly trained in this area. Failure to do so will result in the shipment being rejected for air transport.
